The boss spawn points for shturman are no longer accurate on mapgenie, but suffice to say he has 6 spawn points. It is wise to avoid this area entirely if you are not interested in fighting PMC's and or Raid bosses.
Starting with lumber mill, this area is the central feature of the map and where 85% of the pvp will happen. Hit the nearest loot point of interest, then secondary objective (stashes, shturm, quests) roughly speaking, there are going to be three main ways people will go about moving around woods. Solo spawns are much more varied with the perimeter spawns being more frequently encountered than the interior spawns. The most COMMON spawns I have encountered in group play are the outskirts/scav house, RUAF, UN Roadblock, the North East spawn by river between bridge car extract and northern UN roadblock and the Northernmost spawn that's almost due west of scav bunker. Knowing the rough player movement on the map will get you 80% the way towards safely running woods.įirstly, follow along on and let's go over the spawns. Then go questing with better armour and better ammo and definitely reddots or scopes.Ĭustoms is the lie to new players that it is the map to play: it is the map you only play when you do quests or have a geared-out squad and are farming Reshala.Rather than spoonfeed you a route, I think it's instructive to learn the hot spots on woods and then understand the lanes between those spots.

You'll get money much faster there and items to upgrade your hideout and gain XP to open up quests. Just watched Smoke's and Kotton's streams and they hardly had resistance on Dorms a few times, because everyone is rushing the quest locations and extracting.ĭo scav runs in Factory to pick up remains, go roam Shoreline as a PMC to stow away loot, Woods, Reserve at night, there are plenty of good loot maps that are much safer than Customs. Even without those, many players will rush the same locations.
Even at nighttime they are already geared with NVG's. The quests are always the same so meta gamers will camp locations to drop newbies. The map is very compact and survival rate much lower than some other maps because of the pinchpoints and easy overwatch.ģ. No good ammo to pick up, no fuel, minimal medicals, scopes, etc.Ģ. No marked room key yet, high player number on medium size map means all loot is picked up quickly by experienced farmers. There is not much loot to gain on Customs either way. If you are low on loot and money, don't do Customs, for several reasons:ġ. Games you cannot get into, market bugged nonstop, looting bugged during the raids, players killing you with an axe and not dying after a direct M4 shot, is there anything that works properly in this game?Ī hint for the early stages: everyone will be grinding Customs for the initial quests. Few games ago I got axed by a naked hatchling right when I was shooting him point-blank and he onetapped me with his axe due to a huge stutter, after I had already hit him with an M4 with visible bloodsplash.

I don't care about free Xmas drops, just give me a game that works instead of being bugged nonstop. I really would like to love this game, but it is a bug infested piece of crap sometimes and takes away the little reward we as players are entitled to, because I cannot shrug off permanent loss of stash value. What is this bollocks? Do we need to be healed/fed as well now to be able to extract? Then why the hell does the countdown timer count at all? Twice?
I did not leave exit point either, as the countdown timer counted back all the way. The light was still on so it had to be still active. Countdown reaches zero, I say pff, that was a nick of time, but nothing happens AGAIN?! I start frantically looking around for the "magic" spot where the countdown would start again, but die from HP loss. Crossing my fingers at this point, because I was zero on energy and HP dropping. I start walking around again next to the tank, the bloody countdown starts counting again. Countdown timer reaches zero, I smile, but nothing happens. I was extracting from the Customs RUAF roadblock exfil, lights were on, I had green, tons of loot on me with a stolen FAL, an SVD, etc., bleeding from the sniper scav shots.
